Our home in the Oregon Cascades, provides us with peaceful days, and star-filled nights. We are grateful for fresh air, clean water, and enough space for our garden.

WISE WOMEN. Sunday Morning. Oregon Country Fair Spoken Word on The Front Porch: Charla Herman, and Nikki Scully, with one of their musicians. Raised in the spiritual arms of the Wind River Reservation of Wyoming, Charla has served beside many medicine people of many nations. With skills chiseled in the boardrooms of CNN, ABC, and CBS, Charla produced the acclaimed documentary series Quest of the Earth Keepers, weaving healing stories and prophecies of our native ancestors.

Nicki Scully has been teaching healing and shamanic arts and the Egyptian Mysteries since 1983. Techniques from her Alchemical Healing form are used internationally by thousands of practitioners.
She is a lineage holder in the Hermetic Tradition of Thoth and maintains the Lyceum of Shamanic Egypt. She is ordained as a priestess of Hathor by Lady Olivia Robertson, co-founder of the Fellowship of Isis. During her first tour of Egypt with the Grateful Dead in 1978, Nicki experienced an epiphany on the top of the great pyramid, and realized that her purpose in this life is to bring forth the hidden shamanic arts of Egypt. Drawing on the knowledge she has gained through decades of study and practice, she enlightens and uplifts all whom study and travel with her. In the late '80s, Nicki founded Shamanic Journeys, Ltd., and has been guiding inner journeys and spiritual pilgrimages to Egypt, Peru, Greece, and other sacred sites. Nicki lives in Eugene, Oregon, where she maintains a comprehensive healing and shamanic consulting practice. She welcomes you to study with her at her beautiful garden center.

And, in the last picture, our dear friend, Wren Davidson, speaking in The Rabbit Hole. Wren Davidson has been an herbalist, gardener and earth minister who has practiced in the Pacific Northwest for 35 years. One of the co-founders of the Women’s Herbalist Conference that met in Oregon in the 80’s and 90’s, she continues to teach about the essential plants for food and medicine that are freely available in our region. Her intent is to empower others to take charge of their own nutrition and healing while instilling a deeper respect for the natural world and its preservation. She will discuss Oregon Grape, Stinging Nettle, Yarrow, Fennel, Oats and Dandelion and how the factors of stress, lack of sleep and dehydration affect our health.
