Our home in the Oregon Cascades, provides us with peaceful days, and star-filled nights. We are grateful for fresh air, clean water, and enough space for our garden.

These drops of ice have been formed by vegitation that dips into the Sandy River. We walk along the Sandy and Bull Run rivers every week-end, at Dodge Park, and we have never seen this before! They look much better than these photos show!

And yet more amazing shots of river grapes...that's what we used to call them when we haunted the shores of Rapid Creek in S.D. The wind would make the twigs dip into the cold water and the drops would collect on the twig ends and freeze, only to be repeated endlessly until warmer weather. It's the same process as making candles...well, sort of...different materials and river grapes down't it wasn't a good analogy. I'm going to get coffee...yea, that's's what I need...not some stinkin' analogy!
