The Year at Peace Meal Garden

My Photo
Name:
Location: The Oregon Cascades, near PDX, United States

Our home in the Oregon Cascades, provides us with peaceful days, and star-filled nights. We are grateful for fresh air, clean water, and enough space for our garden.

Here is where our garden will soon appear...don't forget to check back with our blog each week to see what has magically occured on this space!

In the meantime, while you are waiting for the garden, you might like to check out the visually cool, very mellow, and extremely intuitive games to be found at: http://ferryhalim.com/orisinal.
We especially enjoy the yellow one with the BEE, and the STAR, but you should check them all out! Be sure your speakers are on!  Posted by Picasa

The tulips, lilacs, and magnolia flower were all blooming in our garden when we got home from Mexico. There is no place prettier than Oregon, when the weather is fine!

Miss Flora and Captain Nemo were glad to have us return, since it means the resumption of their week-end walks in Dodge Park, near Sandy.

These last four shots were taken with a throw-away underwater camera, and don't do much to show the absolutely awesome FUN to be had while snorkeling! It's our favorite new hobby!

It's important to know that all underwater life exists in a world completely oblivious to our own!

I hope you will get a chance to experience it for yourself!

We hope that these photographs will inspire you to visit Tulum. While development is progressing rapidly, Tulum still retains it's rustic charm, for now.

Note: NOTHING can capture to azure color of the Caribbean. You've got to see it, to believe it!

We want to thank our fine amigo, Gabriel, for helping us enjoy our stay at Cabanas Copal, and for services beyond the call of duty! He is a fine and caring person.

Last, but not least, I wanted to let you know that we took these excellent images with a Panasonic Lumix...model # DMC-FZ30PP...mostly on auto setting...and we did not manipulate them with any software, after the fact!

We hope you'll take the time to click, and make the photos LARGER!

Here are some things that caught our eye while we shopping on our last day in Tulum.

The band was performing at dinner on our last night!

We couldn't resist attempting to capture the colors!

We're getting an early start on the day in order to schedule some shopping! Kraig is outside the Mini-Mercado, where sun block costs $15.00 US per bottle! Barbara is relaxing at the Zahra Restaurant...Colors are incredible, wherever you look!

Sunrise on our last full day...maybe the most beautiful morning of all!

At the bottom, fan coral, washed onto the beach after the rainstorm.

Entertainment on Monday night:
The Amazing Naomi...Dancing Among the Stars, in the restaurant, at Cabanas Copal.

Her mother (sort-of-seen below) taught her these aerial acrobatics using a large sash...if you know a name for this, please let me know!

These four shots were taken at Xel-Ha. It is a giant water park in a natural setting. Since my camera was inside a locker, I don't have many photos of the park. You can find out more by going to: http://www.xel-ha.com

Xel-Ha is a perfect place for families with children, and for beginning snorkelers, but it actually is just a huge theme park.
